7 C's Of Powerful Writing

Student Writers Guild - Student Travel Writers Club

Check out the perks of the Student Travel Club where we pay you for the use of the original copy of your work. See how you can make money in your spare time writing about the things you like to do.

Being a student is hard enough. With all the class time, study time and then trying to make a few bucks at the same time, well it seems like something always has to give. Well all that is about to change.

Making Money "On Your Schedule".

How would you like to get paid for writing stories on the places you like to visit, things you like to do, or how about those places you desire to go after graduation? Have you experienced somewhere special during a prior spring break vacation? These are just a few suggestions for topics we can use.

Here is the skinny on how this works.

If you have a good idea for a travel related story, please send us your title, a brief description of what you would like to write about, and an outline of the proposed topic.

Payment varies widely depending on the quality of the submission, length, and usefulness of the article. Minimum article length and payment amounts are as follows;

  • 500 words, with photos - $45.00
    • without photos - $35.00
  • 750 words with photos - $55.00
    • without photos - $45.00
  • 1000 words with photos - $65.00
    • without photos - $55.00.

What happens after the story is submitted?

We cannot guarantee that we will accept every story submitted to us as there are at least four possible reasons for this. Those reasons are:

  • The story is accepted as submitted.
  • The story is accepted after minor editing by our editors.
  • The story is accepted, but only after major editing is completed.
  • The story is refused.

There are several reasons why an story might be rejected and we will always try to tell you why an story has been rejected if this should happen.

Publication and the Copyright Issues.

If your story is published in any of our travel website's, you, as the author, will retain the copyright and be given all credits for the story. We do ask our authors to submit only original material, and release the story under a free license.

  • All of stories are released under a free license as soon as they are published on any of our travel website.

Please keep in mind that:

  • If needed, we will edit or assist in editing your story for free.

Write For Us

We welcome articles of up to 500 words on topics of general interest. Submissions must include full name, no aliases or pen names please, current address, e-mail address, and day and evening phone numbers for verification should your story be chosen to be published. We will only include the authors name and hometown in the credits just beneath the story title. Please note that any article received may be edited for length, grammar and accuracy by our editors prior to publishing.

Write For Us: Guidelines for Proposals.

If you feel that you have an interesting idea for a new travel article, we want to know about it. Be sure to read the guidelines pertaining to the content proposals before submitting your works.

The Student Writing Network publishes travel related website's and markets them to the general public. For simplicity's sake, we use the word "article" to refer to whatever it is you're proposing to write.

Although we strive to inspire young writers and reward them for their accomplishments through publishing their stories and helping them to earn while they learn, the Student Writers Guild must specify that all views expressed in the articles we publish are those of the writer only and not necessarily those of the group, administration or staff of the Anchorage Marketing Group.
